Annual Orchid Show in Santa Barbara
After pick up in the morning, we will depart for Descanso Gardens at the foot of the Angeles National Forest, which means “rest” in Spanish. There are dozens of different flower gardens here. In March each year, tens of thousands of camellia flowers, gorgeous cherry blossoms, and lilacs are planted in the Live Oak forest in California. Visitors can enjoy the flowers while staying at the “Japanese Garden” in the carefully landscaped Japanese garden. At noon, enjoy the rich and exquisite buffet cuisine and continue north to the famous International Santa Barbara Orchid Exhibition. At the beginning of the 20th century, wealthy Eastern American immigrants brought to Santa Barbara the finest orchid varieties. After the Second World War, flower farmers who cultivated orchids commercially opened many flower greenhouses. Today, the annual Santa Barbara Spring International Orchid Show attracts everyone from all over the world who love orchids to view (and buy!) from the many different counties and growers from Southern California. Following the spring season, they specially come to watch various elegant fragrance Ming Lan. Visitors can also purchase flower bonsai and organic produce other than orchids at the exhibition. After the visit, the private bus will return to your home town.
